Teaching Henry How to Play

Ever since she learned she would have a baby brother, Sibyl has been telling us she'd teach him how to play. Today, she got serious about it, showing Henry how each of the surrounding toys works. ("You pull on the octopus, and it plays a song.")

Gymnastics, Sibyl Style

Sibyl's classmate Ido's birthday party was at AcroSport, a gymnasium that specializes in the circus arts.

The rain finally let up, so Sibyl and her mom could walk to the party.

Sibyl had a blast running through the gymnastics circuit with her friend Tristan.

She even got to ride on a bungee swing.

The zip cord you see behind the swing? It ran from the top of the bleachers--basically another story up. Sibyl thought better of it.

More Birthdays

Sibyl's friends Hannah and Devlin had birthday parties today.

Hannah's party had much playing and dancing.

At Devlin's party, Sibyl played her first air hockey match.

And coaxed her mom and Henry onto a few bouncy slides.

All the excitement hardly phased Henry, who was happy with a bottle and a nap.

Big Girl Bed

Sibyl helped her mom put her big-girl bed together today, and then of course she tried it out.

Sketch Pad

Sibyl's artistic frenzy continued through the weekend.

Here are some of the drawings she cranked out tonight.

This is a "fuzzy donkey":

A couple of these involve Pinocchio:

Bottle Holder, Part 2

You won't find it mentioned by any of the experts, but bottle holding is apparently one of the major first milestones for anyone in this family.
